Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year in ZCS

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year in Zionsville Community Schools!

Right now, our plan is to follow ZCS's approved 2020-2021 school calendar and welcome students back into our buildings on August 4, 2020. Assuming conditions remain safe, we plan to offer face-to-face instruction for as long as possible. We are working closely with the Boone County Health Department while also following guidance offered by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) to implement the recommended safety protocols in our school buildings. We will ask all adults and students to wear masks when it is appropriate and distance when possible.

We know that some students will require at-home online instruction due to compromised immune systems, health issues, families with health issues and other extenuating circumstances. We will offer a virtual learning option for these students. 

The ZCS COVID-19 task force is working on what school will look like when ZCS opens its doors in the fall. There are many details yet to be determined.

We appreciate your patience as we navigate this new experience together. We are in the process of finalizing a comprehensive plan designed to ensure the safest possible learning environment for all ZCS students. Your health matters. Your safety is our number one priority.
